The story began in 2015, when the company known as Le Cirque World’s Top Performers was founded. The idea was to bring together the best artists from the world of contemporary circus, who would unite to create a unique and unrivalled show for the very first time.
The original cast was drawn from such places as Moscow, Kiev, Las Vegas, Orlando, Paris, Monte Carlo, and Canada. Only the best international artists form part of Cirque World’s Top Performers: stars from Le Cirque du Soleil and from major global productions. In 2016, they made their first tour of Italy. Over a period of just two years, ALIS was described by the critics first as a “revelatory spectacle” and then as “a unique event of its kind“, achieving record audiences and sell-out performances. This demonstrates how this exceptional show has been constantly able to re-invent itself. Other great artists have been added to each new tour, and Le Cirque World’s Top Performers is no longer just a company, but also one large family. There are now more than 50 artists involved, and at least 24-26 take part in each tour. And so the story continues…
“Alis” is entirely designed and produced by the A-GROUP, a dynamic team that have been active over the last twenty-five years, organising events, corporate occasions, conventions, shows and communication activities in many parts of the world.
Gianpiero entered the world of Events in 1987, alongside Guglielmo Isoardi and Paolo Monte, the Patron and Marketing Director of Alpitour. He worked in the field of communication, sponsorship and events with his own company, attracting both national and international clients, such as Diesel, Nestle, Asics and TNT. In 1987, he also organised “Movimenti 87”, the biggest Rock festival ever staged in Italy, and later put on concerts by Eros Ramazzotti, Gianna Nannini, Litfiba and Vasco Rossi.
From 2000 to 2010, Gianpiero headed WTT in Monte Carlo, and acted as General Manager for the Monte Carlo Film Festival de La Comedie, directed by Ezio Greggio, the first International Festival to focus entirely on comedy. In 2013, he created the A-GROUP, covering a range of businesses, including Le Cirque and the World’s Top Performers.
Right from the start of his career, he has held the position of CEO for various important multinationals.
In the early 1990s, he became General Manager of Foot Locker, opening over 40 stores in Italy.
Ten years later, he was recruited for a management role with Disney, and opened the first 10 Disney stores in Italy.
From 2004 to 2011, he worked for the LVHM Group, becoming the General Manager of Sephora, a company with more than 200 Stores and 700 employees. His final post in retail was as CEO for Guess Italia, recording a turnover of over 200 million Euros. In 2013, a new entrepreneurial challenge began when he joined the A-GROUP, bringing all his managerial experience with him.
Alessandro started as a graphic designer, working in both the commercial and creative fields, later becoming the Art & Creative Director for product branding and advertising campaigns by major Italian companies.
Over the years, he has developed considerable management skills in the fields of traditional marketing, opening celebrations, congresses, sport and music events and social media marketing.
In the early 2000s, he began his career as an entrepreneur, while still maintaining an operative role in various companies.
As an Executive Director of the group, he plays a strategic and creative role.
He was a co-founder of the A-GROUP parent company.
Andrea entered the world of events in the mid-nineties, quickly gaining experience in organising meetings and conventions, and managing opening events in Italy for some well-known international retail chains.
While developing skills in the general coordination of meetings and conventions, he also began to specialise in the technical management of congresses, events and shows, including events in the fields of art, music and culture, and in communications and copy writing to support these ventures.
In the two years from 2007-2008, he was involved in the research and management of international guest speakers, for special projects developed for Telecom Italia and Ceva Logistics.
